Hitch Hike

Hitch Hike, (a.k.a tumpang) is very common in New Zealand, i experience that a lot while working at packhouse in Tepuke, however, those who offer usually working at same packhouse with me, other than that, Esther and Cook sister normally manage to get people stop by... And this time, i'm on my own to hitch hike... From Picton to Havelock which is a town on the way to Nelson, for another help exchange stay.
9.30 am, departure from backpackers, walking for 10 minutes, i wait from my 1st location, an old man told me go further and you shall have a better spot, i walk for another 10 minutes to 2nd location, and i meet the first car stop by, she said people seldom go Havelock from Picton, she can pick me to some which shall be easier to get someone stop by. She always offer ride to traveller like me, but normally during summer, not autumn which is less people, she was teaching children swimming and learning aerobic, she love travelling.

3rd location was country side with scenic view on vineyard, apple farm in peace, looking on map, this shall be a shortcut, but i do not know how long i need to walk, at least i know, i can walk for 3 hours to reach a place which should have more vehicle passing, at the same time, i can hitch hike and enjoy the scenic view as well... hehe...
After an hour, i only walk for 1/3 of the shortcut, fortunately there is a truck stop by and give me a ride to destination 5, he is a driver working in Blenheim and he like travelling.
From destination 5, i raise my location board for 5 minutes and a lady stop by, she work in a cafe at Picton, heading Nelson to meet friend and leaving NZ to Japan soon, she said i must try mussel in Havelock, she also like travelling...

12.30pm, touch down Havelock... Greenshell Mussel Capital of the World...
