HK Day 2- Lantau Island

We have our breakfast at Argyle Street, Mong Kok, " Hooi Keng" porridge restaurant, porridge is good, "sha kok" is special, "yao cha kuai" together with either porridge or soya bean is also delicious, nice food to start up my day...

Typical taxi which we use to see on HK drama.... we start to feel the density of Hong Kong, as well as pace of pedestral along the street...

Arriving at Ngong Ping, cable is linked to the Tian Tan Buddha, Ngong Ping 36o is a cable car with transparent material on 6 faces of the cube, it make you experience on air from 360 degree... i didn't take that experience, a typical cable car is good enough for us....
We are so excited with this scenic route, green lanscape, island and ocean, as well as international airport where we landed yesterday.... When we crossing last hill, we can see Tian Tan Buddha from far... Buddha who sit on a hill...
From cable car station, you need to walk for some distance along a old style market street toward Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery, there is some sourvinier shop, restaurant and cafe here...
After the street, we stop for Shan Sui Tau Fu Fa, or should say making soya bean pudding with water from mountain... Brown sugar and ginger make the Tau Fu Fa tasted good... Not bad to try....
Arriving Po Lin Monastery, maybe i can see Wong Fei Hung training Kung Fu here, or fight with bad guy....
We have a vegetarian meal here... i love mushroom a lot.... this set lunch is for 2 person... what do you think? That is enough for 6 of us to feel good...

天壇大佛, Tian Tan Buddha, we walk up the stair to get closer to buddha which is so grand.... stair case seem long way to go, but we not really spend a lot time to go up, but at the end of the stair, an ais cream stall is making good business....
I think this should be the biggest sitting buddha that i ever see on open air...
From cable car station to MRT station, there is Citygate Outlets, we stop by for a walk, but not manage to hunt a lot here....

After back to Mong Kok, we go for dinner at Tai Ka Sek, i order a chiu chow oyster porridge, is big portion... on this high density restaurant, we found the chopstick is hiding on drawer underneath the table... we really give a big big "OO.....!!!" to the waiter who show us....

This our supper, desert supper at Hui Lau San, they have a lot dressing on mango, and is really good, those Mango is from South East Asia, maybe Thailand, Philipine, or Malaysia....

Night market here at Mong Kok, Lui Yang Kai... a lot lot people, youngster, tourist... and a lot shopping.... Hong Kong is really high density....
