KAMATE!!
Ka mate kamete!!
Ka ora ka ora!!
Ka mate kamate!!
Ka ora ka ora!!
Tenei te tangata puhuruhuru!!
Nana nei i tiki mai whakawhiti te ra!!
Aue upane Au kaupane!!
Upane kaupane!!
White te ra!!!
Which mean...
It is death, it is death!!

Behold the brave man!!
Who has caused the sun to shine again up the ladder!!
Up and up!!
Into the light of sun!!.........
I remember Aragon also say this before the last battle infront of gate to Modor...
"Son of Gandor and Rohan, my brother!!
I see in your eyes... the same fear that take to heart with me... A day may come, when the courage of man fail... abandon all our friend and break all the fellowship...
But it is not this day... But it is not this day... But it is not this day!!
This day we fight!!!!!"

Library -27 June 2005, Evening...
Library in New Zealand belongs to public, i'm tax payer as well, so i can enter... hehe

Willington - City Tour
One of the reason i choose NZ is because i want to experience western life... Aukland for me is more like Singapore... What make Willington different for me is the people on the street, decoration, building etc... i didnt keep people in the camera as think they might concern.
Early in the morning, i went to the hill thru short cut explored yesterday. Another good day begin...
Heritage building and modern design...
Art on the street....
Beer advertisement with modern building...
Memorial in city... Surround by greeny garden, nice place for pedestral to take a rest...
Parliment of New Zealand. They provide tour to visit around the building, that's why i came here early morning... Camera not allowed in the parliment, but that really profesional.. Moari art also part of the main deco in the parliment... I think is the first time for me to visit parliment, regardless of country...

Another view of parliment, after the tour, i have my light lunch here... some cookies and bread... In front that seem to have one guy try to express some message to govement...
Willington cable car, same with the one at Penang Hill... But out look of these seem nicer... i bought one way ticket as i plan to walk down thru botanical garden...
City view from top of the botanical garden, opposite mount was Victoria Point i been...
Various flower inside green house of botanical garden, some looks new for me, some is common...
Outdoor of this green house a wide area of rose garden, but doenst look nice when i'm there... another reason why Autumn isnt peak tourism season.
I never enjoy sun shine like this.... i lay down and take a snap here.... infront me is the city view of Willington - again....

Willington- Victoria Walk
27th June 2005, i start my explore Willington from Victoria bay...
Open air morning market, mainly vegetable and fruit... let's me get some fresh fruit and lunch...
Some campaign on this morning, a lot people joining the run along the victoria bay, honestly early morning is cold at these area, i'm actually wearing sweater and jacket, but those runner wearing short, singlet.... Maybe they are more healthy...
To keep away from those people look hot, i step into Victoria Garden... Heard that here are one of the scene in LOTR. Let see if i found any...
Up to the hill, down town of Willington is in the view.... is a beautiful day...
Here should be a place where Goblim and Frodo fight...
Another side or uptown of Willington city, seperate by a mountain in between...
Here i come, can you see the track of air port? and some light shoot thru the cloud to the sea?
Well, take a rest and take my lunch here at Victoria view point... banana... at the same time enjoying city view on Victoria Bay, one of the big building on the bay is Tepapa museum...
Ok... Gear up!! let continue the journey...
Some Maori sculpture... to protect ...or to decorate Victoria Point...
Tepapa Museum, i vote this as the best museum...
Main enterence to the museum of New Zealand... No ticket needed, cause i pay for the tax...
Can you see? A naughty boy? A scarry face?
A performance stage, like the real one in Rotorua, right?
Fern leaf in the air, at the center of the court...
From Victoria Bay view toward south... that alphn is part of south island... looks mistory... Another museum beside this is Museum of Willington City and Sea, and content is totally different with Tepapa Museum, good one to visit as well...
I never take train in New Zealand... but this is railways station of Willington, old building but looked grant...

Grandma Place in Palmerston North
I think one of the reason why Autumn isnt peak season for tourism is because frequent rainy or misty day...
City center of Palmerston North, surround by cormecial square, considered as high density compared to few station i been before these...
Nice dorm, more like a home sweet home... isnt it?
This is Grandma Place. Its a normal resident house run as backapackers. Not much traveller stayin here but I meet a friend who use to my dorm mate while working at Tepuke...
Although raining... I still hang around in the city... Visit a library which really more than just a library... feel so different from any library i been... I manage to get some book related to NZ... As well, a lot gallery but i didnt enter everyone single one, some need to pay ticket and some you need make appointment.
Walking on the street, i came across a lot Asian youth, then only i remember there is a famous international University in this city... And education is one of the major income of New Zealand...

Cafe, Lodge, Living Hall
A cup of tea, coffee, or chocolate drink, music from radio, comfortable sit or sofa is really enjoyable, relax & easy.
Am i too young for these lifestyle?
Whenever i come to a backpacker house, i like to be in cafe, lodge or lobby rather than stay in the dorm, netiher laying nor reading. At these place, beside having my meal, i just sit here, writing something or on the sofa, reading newspaper, magazine or planning for my next day. Most traveller brought their own book to read, but i never plan to have one, a story book for me is too heavy, mentally or physically, let me finish that 2 mandarin book 1st! But what interesting is when i meet and chat with travellers from different place, maybe i couldnt remember their name, or dont ask their name, but experience shared is most valuable...
i'm dust, flying everywhere, stick everywhere...

Tongariro is a national park, world heritage area as well as trout paradise... but the weather didnt permit me to have a walk across her...

Along the way from Taopo to National park, 3 mountain-Mt Tongariro, Mt Ruapehu, Mt Ngrauruhoe... really consume a lot bytes of my memory card, look magnificent... i never see a peak with white color snow... one of the mountain is where the devil stay, Mt Doom in the LOTR... That scenic route really impressive, but the driver seem like not considerate, speeding all the way...
Thursday, 23 Jun 2005, arriving the a village beside tongariro national park.
Off course, i didnt stay in the grand look hotel, i forgot the name but i'm sure this the famous one, i saw that hotel in one poster before, where behind the hotel, there is a volcano explored... ohya... this national park is volcanic heritage...
Dorm i stayed in National Park Backpackers... my dorm mate wasnt around for some activities in national park... but i miss that...
A morning before i leave here, these are my accompany, one of them is the script author from Hong Kong...

Bungy Jump at Waikato River
Adventure activities is in the blood of New Zealander, they have a lot innovation extreme games... Bungy Jump is the famous one.. i tell myself, "dont leave NZ without bungy jump"
i'm alone while going for the bungy jump, i dont want to pay for photo, so i just take a snap before my turn... down there is Waikato River.
"You want to get wet?" This is question from instructor before i jump, although isnt the most aggresive in NZ, but good enough for me to try for first time. Safety caution of this sport is good, there are some machine other than just a rope, except node of tightening of rope seem simple... Jump before me is 2 japanese girl, they shout from the moment they start to jump until reaching end of the rope... wow!!!! How about me? Just skip the jumping... I face some difficulty to walk after the jump... I feel that moment is cool, but short... and costly... hehe...
I take a trail after my bungy jump... a long Waikato River... River that tells what is blue and green... and bit white...

Huka fall.... that 75 is my weight, mark down for setup of bungy jump... some kind evidence shown i experiencesd that... i saw few person with numbers along the trail... so i knew their weight... especially ladies... hehe...
Down stream of Huka fall... i didnt take that jet experience... Seem like James Bond in action...
In the middle of forest, there is area without any trees, but a lots smoke, this area just get burn?? aftermath?? i miss out any things??
here i come, into the smoke... to rescue maybe... but those smoke isnt cause by any fire from the surface of earth... but deep from the earth... huh...
..... This place called Crater of Moon, because these crater make this area looks like surface of moon...
I take a walk back to Lake Taupo town, i saw this duck which i always saw in cartoon, the one always being hunted...
Today is a cloudy day, i didnt explore Lake Taupo much... which is the hole in the center of north island, this lake is really big that you can feel the borderless, wave, strong wind....
Lake Taupo is caldera of a huge volcano...
Beside the lake, i found this as part of the promotion for tournament of rugby... hehe...
Kitchen of Rainbow logde, clean and have some kicthen accessory to use... salt, sugar, and papper.... my dinner tonight is steak, potato, and gold kiwi... hehe... for sure is self-cook.
Today i really walk for whole day, from 10am to 5pm... thanks lot pa and ma... for the gift of leg...
